Nicole’s Birthday (Part Two)- Ding Dong Dang

So after an early dinner, we went to the Opera Bar for a quick drink, and then it was onwards and upwards to karaoke goodness at Ding Dong Dang!

Highlights: Who doesn’t love a rousing rendition of Hero by Mariah Carey and the ultimate in karaoke songs, Bohemian Rhapsody?

Lowlights: Belinda Carlisle’s Heaven is A Place on Earth- ok so all the girls LOVED it, (we ALL knew ALL of the words) and yet, this enthusiasm didn’t seem to be shared much by the boys. Check out this classic shot of the girls belting it out and J leaving the room not so subtly.

Basically- all of the boys vacated the room at some stage during this song, until there was only the four of us and N in the room (but he was only there to take the photo and then he skeddadled pretty quick smart after that! hahahahaha!!)

Another lowlight was the glaring omission on the song list of Bonnie Tyler’s Total Eclipse of the Heart. But I consoled myself with the other tunes available…

There was a bit of an 80s theme, with some classic hits belted out, including:
Time After Time- Cyndi Lauper
Up Where we Belong- Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warner
We Built this City- Starship
Hungry Eyes- Eric Carmen
Summer of 69- Bryan Adams
Material Girl + Vogue- Madonna
Hungry Like the Wolf- Duran Duran
Fading Like a Flower- Roxette
A bit of Lady Gaga, some Muse, and some Black Eyed Peas, as well as Backstreet Boys and an awesome rendition of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Mr Coleman.

The boys and Nicole rockin’ out to Muse:

Clearly this is towards the end of the night:

This is what I wore:

It’s a new Chinatown number, which I love for the frou frou factor. It’s also got polka dots (which I also love!). I teemed it up with my Tony Bianco black peep toe heels and these accessories:
